Akita Jalt Chapter’s May Presentation: What Intercultural Studies can tell us about the differences between Anglophone Cultures and Japan

Intercultural Studies has emerged as a field that explores how cultures interact and how we can better understand outcomes, especially when misunderstandings occur. In this session, Cameron Romney will address three key questions: What is culture? What are cross-cultural dimensions? and What can these dimensions tell us about differences between English-speaking cultures and Japanese culture? The session will include concrete examples and conclude with suggestions for further reading.
