Description
Discover a 5-step process to make junior and senior high school EFL classrooms more inclusive and accessible. Through the inclusive classroom approach, teachers learn to reframe mindsets in viewing different barriers to learning and use this to inform lesson design with the students’ perspective in mind. Attendees to this poster presentation will gain adaptable approaches that support diverse learners and help students improve participation in their classes.
Summary
Foreign language instruction's collaborative and process nature poses serious hurdles for students with special educational needs and specific learning differences. However, challenges are lessened when educators practice inclusive, accessible, and accommodating pedagogical approaches. These endeavors improve student engagement and learning outcomes. In this poster presentation, I wish to interact with other teachers, share practices for making my lessons more accessible, and help all learners succeed in secondary school EFL classrooms.
