Academic speaking requires structured strategies that help students make deeper connections and articulate ideas more effectively. This poster introduces hexagonal thinking as an interactive scaffolding strategy that fosters concept synthesis, vocabulary retention, and metacognitive awareness. Findings from a study at a Japanese university (n=20) show that this student-led approach promotes self-directed learning, structured discussion, and heightened engagement.
