Description

Research shows music in EFL classrooms enhances vocabulary, pronunciation, and motivation, while art fosters curiosity and engagement. Few activities combine both, missing opportunities to boost language retention and creativity. This workshop presents a practical activity that integrates music, art, and language learning, strengthening English skills, engagement, and creative expression. Participants will also experience the activity hands-on by creating their own brief composition that combines all three elements.

Summary

Research highlights the benefits of music and art in EFL classrooms, with music improving vocabulary, pronunciation, and motivation (Mora, 2000) and art fostering curiosity and engagement (Gandhioke & Singh, 2024). However, few activities combine both modalities, missing an opportunity to enhance language retention and creativity. This presentation introduces an innovative approach integrating music, art, and language learning, offering practical strategies to create immersive, interactive experiences that support diverse learning styles and student engagement.
