Abstract

What is the true value of a teacher in an age increasingly dominated by artificial intelligence? This presentation delves into the evolving role of educators amidst revolutionary technological innovations that promise to enhance learning through personalization and efficiency. While AI tools can provide tailored educational experiences, they inherently lack the emotional intelligence and empathy that are crucial for fostering curiosity, creativity, competence, and community among students.
Presenters will explore the unique qualities that teachers bring to the classroom, such as the ability to inspire, motivate, and connect with students on a personal level. These human attributes are essential for building trust and creating a supportive learning environment, which AI cannot replicate.
AI is isolating, but teachers build connections and communities. Examples will highlight how educators can effectively leverage technology to enhance their teaching practices rather than replace them. By integrating AI tools thoughtfully, teachers can streamline administrative tasks, access valuable insights into student performance, and personalize instruction while maintaining the vital human element in education.
In conclusion, this presentation will provide guidelines and strategies for redefining, reimagining and reinforcing the role of the teacher. Emphasizing that, despite the advancements in AI, human interaction remains at the heart of the learning process. Teachers are not just facilitators of knowledge; they are mentors, guides, and advocates for their students. As we navigate this new educational landscape, the irreplaceable value of teachers becomes more apparent than ever, underscoring their critical role in shaping the future of learning.
