Examples from languages other than English, here German language in the fields of German literature, linguistics and language teaching in East Asia are showing a divers and promising landscape. For learners of German there is a regular online meeting organized between Tokyo University of Foreign Studies and Seoul National University for learners on various levels of learning. Attendance is free and open internationally. The German Literature and Linguistics organizations in Japan, South-Korea, China are organizing in a three years-rotation a well-known East-Asian Conference. There is mutual attendance between the East-Asian colleagues on German related seminars. Recently on Graduate School level a new collaboration is emerging. These are some examples drawing on. Working together across borders in the field of teaching, learning and researching is beneficial for all parties involved. It gives is vibrant examples, helps to find new ways and think not only outside the box but across the borders.
