Artificial Intelligence (AI) is widely used in the hotel industry through self-check-in systems, chatbots, and service robots. These technologies improve efficiency and support multilingual communication. However, hotels also require omotenashi, which includes empathy, flexible responses, and personalized service. Therefore, English language education remains important for future hotel staff.This study examines the role of English language education in hospitality in the age of AI. It compares AI services with human services and investigates guests' opinions through a questionnaire survey. The study is expected to show that AI can support basic communication but cannot replace human interaction. Therefore, English education should develop not only language skills but also intercultural understanding, communication skills, and hospitality. Combining AI technology with well-trained staff will provide better service for international guests.
