This study examines the role of ChatGPT and Gemini in English language education. As artificial intelligence (AI) becomes more common, many students use AI tools to support their English learning. This study reviews previous research to explore how ChatGPT and Gemini can be used in English education. It also compares the two tools by focusing on their strengths, weaknesses, and possible challenges. The study discusses both the benefits, such as personalized learning and immediate feedback, and the concerns, including overdependence on AI and inaccurate information. By comparing ChatGPT and Gemini, this study aims to provide a better understanding of how AI can support English language learning and how it may influence the future of English education.
