Description

This presentation uses food as an entry point for intercultural and cultural development in homogeneous classrooms. Moving through a tasting menu of cultural lenses, from ingredients and dishes to the social rituals that surround them, it argues that food offers a rich, personally meaningful route to cultural self-awareness and genuine curiosity. The core framework is simple: ask students what they want to share about their culture, and what they want to ask about others.
