Description

Toki Pona is a minimalist constructed language created in 2001 and spoken by thousands of people around the globe, mainly through social media. With a total of only 140 words, speakers report a change in their worldview, as well as a release from the restrictions that their own languages place on their thinking. The phonology and grammar are also minimalist, so it can be learned very quickly.

This workshop introduces the basics of Toki Pona, and participants will get a chance to play around with word combining and sentence building. Join us and feel your mind open up to new possibilities of language and how we see the world.
