Description
This presentation will focus on practical strategies for developing intercultural competence in an AI age. AI now often shapes how people encounter other cultures. What does intercultural competence look like now and why does it still matter? Drawing on emerging research and student insights, this talk asks whether AI-mediated exposure can spark genuine cultural learning and whether it simplifies differences into stereotypes. The presenter will then share practical strategies that educators can use to design experiential learning activities that build curiosity, initiative, empathy, and confidence that are key for developing intercultural competence.
