Description
Mediation, central to the CEFR (2001) and expanded in the CEFR Companion Volume (2020), addresses how people bridge linguistic, cultural, and communicative differences. This study examines the mediational communication of students with international backgrounds in Japan, who still face difficulties because intercultural acceptance remains insufficient in Japanese society. Through changes in university students’ writing activities, it explores how learning about these mediational experiences may influence their intercultural acceptance and attitudes toward diversity in Japan today.
