Description
This proposal presents an AI competency course for pre-service Japanese teachers of English, grounded in the UNESCO AI Competency Framework for Teachers and informed by a comprehensive needs assessment. A 30-lesson course will be designed to develop not only foundational AI literacy but also AI pedagogical competencies, enabling future English teachers to critically evaluate AI-generated content, integrate AI tools effectively into their teaching practice, and promote responsible AI use among their students.
