Description
This presentation is sponsored by Tsuda University Graduate Student Showcase. This study examines how written reflection activities and teacher-led in-class sharing of students' reflections relate to changes in behavioral, cognitive, emotional, and social engagement. Participants were 78 second-year students in an English course at a Japanese college of technology. Quantitative and qualitative data were analyzed; this presentation focuses on pre- and post-course engagement scale data. Results showed a significant increase only in behavioral engagement.
