Description
In 2017, a pilot Integrated Discussion (ID) program was introduced within the EAP curriculum at Akita International University to provide authentic academic interaction between EAP and international students. Over the past decade, ID has evolved from a small, teacher-dependent pilot into a sustainable, curriculum-wide, student-led initiative. This presentation traces that evolution and considers key lessons concerning sustainability, student engagement, educational impact, intercultural interaction, and long-term curricular innovation within an EMI environment.
