This session illustrates how communicative language tasks on the updated TOEFL iBT test can be used to support and strengthen meaningful English language teaching and learning. While assessment tasks are designed to accurately measure English proficiency, they may also guide and promote language learning. The session introduces selected test tasks from each of the four skills and demonstrates how they can be adapted for effective teaching and learning purposes.
