Description
What counts as evidence that language learning has occurred? This forum examines that question from three perspectives: interpreting standardized test scores and score gains; redesigning classroom assessment to capture learners’ application of phonetic knowledge; and using measures of core ability and growth to represent learning longitudinally. Together, the presentations consider how different forms of assessment evidence shape the conclusions we draw about learner ability, development, and achievement.
