Sponsored by Tsukuba University Graduate Student Showcase: This project investigates the internal structure of L2 English pronunciation ability by integrating three components—perception, phonological processing efficiency, and production—into a unified model. Although previous research has examined perception and production separately, the role of processing efficiency in linking perceived speech information to production remains underexplored. Using structural equation modeling, the project analyzes a comprehensive set of measures based on multiple speech perception and production tasks.
